Tamil Nadu politics has entered a dramatic new phase after the growing tension between the DMK and Congress erupted into an open war of words. DMK Youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin launched a sharp attack on Congress leaders after the party decided to support actor-turned-Chief Minister Vijay’s TVK government in the state.
Calling Congress “ungrateful” and accusing it of betraying the DMK alliance, Udhayanidhi said the party should “never trust Congress again.” His fiery remarks came during a party event where he claimed Congress leaders won seats only because of the strength of DMK workers and the leadership of MK Stalin.
The political atmosphere in Tamil Nadu has become increasingly intense ever since Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) emerged as a powerful force in the recent elections. Although the TVK government reportedly fell short of a complete majority, support from Congress and several regional parties helped it stay in power — a move that clearly angered the DMK leadership.
Udhayanidhi didn’t stop there. In one of his strongest statements yet, he blamed Congress for indirectly helping the BJP grow across India. According to him, the DMK carried Congress politically for years, only to be abandoned at a crucial moment.
Meanwhile, former Chief Minister MK Stalin also questioned the stability of Vijay’s government. He predicted that the administration may not complete its full five-year term, claiming internal cracks and alliance pressure could weaken the ruling setup in the coming months.
The political clash has now turned Tamil Nadu into one of the country’s most closely watched battlegrounds. With Vijay’s rise reshaping alliances and old partners turning into rivals, the state’s political future suddenly looks far more unpredictable than before.
For now, one thing is certain — the DMK-Congress relationship appears deeply damaged, and Tamil Nadu politics is heading toward a fierce and high-voltage power struggle.
